DEPOSIT/BALANCE/CANCELLATION BY THE CUSTOMER IF BOOKED DIRECTLY WITH LANZAROTE FIRST

The payment of a deposit to Lanzarote First in respect of an accommodation booking establishes a contract between the party/parties named in the confirmation of the booking and Lanzarote First. Any monies paid, including the deposit and balance, are not refundable under any circumstances except those specified in this paragraph. The balance is payable in all circumstances. If a cancellation occurs, providing the balance is paid by the due date, cancellation charges will be limited to the value of the rental of the original booking less any savings made as a result of non-occupation of the villa and Lanzarote First will make every effort to re-let the accommodation. To the extent that the value (net of any extra costs) of the re-let accommodation increases, the cancellation charges will reduce and a refund will be made accordingly. Unless none of the period is re-let and there is no value (net of any extra costs) of re-let accommodation, there will also be a £40 per person administration charge. If the whole period is re-let and the value (net of any extra costs) of the re-let accommodation equals or exceeds the value of the original booking, the only cancellation charge will be a £40 per person administration charge and the balance of all monies paid (including deposit) will be refunded. If none of the period is re-let and there is no value ( net of any extra costs) of re-let accommodation, the only refund will be the savings made as a result of non-occupation of the villa. If the balance is not paid by the due date, a breach of contract will have occurred and Lanzarote First will be entitled to recover its losses, which will normally exceed the cancellation charges which would have been payable if the balance had been paid by the due date. We strongly advise you to arrange appropriate travel insurance to cover the full amount paid or payable for your holiday in the event of a cancellation to ensure that there is no shortfall in the amount you receive from them, should a claim arise. 

 

CANCELLATION BY THE CUSTOMER IF BOOKED VIA OWNERS DIRECT/HOMEAWAY OR HOLIDAY LETTINGS/TRIPADVISOR 

The cancellation charge is equivalent to the amount actually paid to Owners Direct/HomeAway or Holiday Lettings/TripAdvisor, so there will be no refund in any circumstances.  

 

DEATH OR INJURY WHILE OCCUPYING OUR VILLAS

If death or injury occurs in any of our villas or in the surrounding outside areas which are occupied as part of the villa rental, we shall have no liability at all as a result of this death or injury occurring.  

 

COSTS IN ADDITION TO THE RENTAL COST FOR WHICH THE OCCUPANTS ARE LIABLE

The occupants of the villa shall be liable for the cost any repair to the villa or equipment therein, the repair or replacement of the contents of the villa, or any other service which was necessary to employ (other than the services which were agreed to be provided as part of the rental) if the repair, replacement or employment of the service was as a result of the actions of the occupants.
